Sixth UGIT’s International Conference on CLIMATE CHANGE AND SUSTAINABLE WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT – INNOVATIVE GEOSPATIAL SOLUTIONS November 9-11, 2017

The sixth International Conference of the Union of Geographic Information Technologists (UGIT), “Climate change and sustainable water resource management – innovative geo - spatial solutions” is being hosted by the Department of Geography, Bangalore University from 9th -11th, November 2017.

As water is a basic necessity for life, it is of utmost significance to understand impact of climate change on water resources. This holds particularly true for a country like India, where water is a scarce resource and adverse impacts on water resources has recently been experienced as a consequence of climate change. The conference creates three days of unique opportunity for academics, climatologists & water resource professionals, who engage in research, management, policy and education to gather, discuss and collaborate for Climate change and sustainable water resource management. This gives a platform to interact and deliberate on potential geospatial solutions, recent approaches and advancements on climate change and sustainable water management.
